Just found this cleaner and just got back from a cruse, brought in three of my fancy beaded dresses and they were handled with care and returned with no issues. I'll use this cleaner again.
I brought in a dress I wore for my daughter's wedding. It had beading on the empire waist. I was asked to sign a release for the beads-thinking it was for the beading being damaged-falling off etc. (I was fine with that). I was told the dress would be cleaned according to the label instructions. The label says-"cover the beads-no heat or steam on the beading". When I went to pick up the dress I found the first layer under the bust line to be stained. (see pictures). I immediately asked the store employee what was going on? It was clear that the fabric was folded over the beading when it was pressed and the coating on the beads transferred to the fabric clearly leaving marks from the beads. I called the store and was referred to Sherry King who is the general manager of the facility that six of the dry cleaners in The Villages uses. In a nutshell I was told there was nothing they could do-the garment was cleaned according to the instructions-however she told me that the garment had been HEAT cleaned. Going back and forth-there was no resolution-she blamed the store front for putting the garment in the wrong color bag. I felt whoever pressed the garment was negligent. Since I signed the release I was out of luck. BEWARE-if you have something with beading or stones take the garment elsewhere. This business will not take any responsibility for any damages to the garment-I just wish they would have said they couldn't take the responsibility of cleaning the garment and I would has used a dry cleaner outside The Villages.
