This dog park is a joke - as others have said, it is small, hilly and I will add almost constantly muddy or dusty. A great deal of grass is missing, so dogs are running around kicking up dust. There are only two benches, so you need to bring a chair.

I haven't been there and probably WON'T Based on what I read ! IF the 'villages' is 'so wonderful', why can't they do something right for the 4 legged residents AND visitors... IF they can have all the golf carts, they can come up with a dog park... Wildwood has a smallish one But Square so easier to run, toss balls !

Not as bad as prior reviews. You can see from my picture that there is enough grass growth. There are plenty of trees for shade and the enclosed run gives enough space for my 45lbs dog to explore and do his business. There are 2 rubbish bins, a potty bag dispenser, water for dogs and a separate high pressure hose to clean up. I also saw a shovel and shoe brush. It does seem that the large dog area, which is adjacent to the small dog area is a bit nicer.

I agree with everyone else. This is a terrible dog park. I can't believe anyone came up with it... Small, narrow, on a slope. With all the wonderful and impressive designs of everything else in The Villages this is what they came up with for everyone with dogs???? ( there must be hundreds of dogs between 466 and 466A)

I know the higher ups can do better. The dog owners in the middle of The Villages challenge you.

As a person that has used/visited numerous dog parks I will say unequivocally this is the worst design of a dog park I have ever seen. First it's tiny and narrow. It is squeezed between the back of a fire station and a sewage treatment facility several hundreds of feet in the distance. Secondly the entire "park" is pushed up against an embankment/incline which between that and it's very small size makes it very difficult for any dog to run.

The irony is if you go to the top of this embankment there's sprawling, flat, open ground for hundreds of feet surrounding the facility. Whoever came up with this idea had no inclination of the needs of a dog park.
