At one time or another, over the past many years, we have been enrolled in one or another differing healthcare plan. But as it happened, these differing plans tended to share a common flaw... They arose out of a mental model that failed to grasp the difference between 'patient' and 'customer'. The service-culture arising out of such structural indifference is one in which access to care is considered a gift, appointment times prove meaningless, waiting room facilities are afterthoughts, and physician face-time is meagerly bestowed. But somehow, medical lineage notwithstanding, The Villages Healthcare Center got it right! Here, the commitment to Best-in-Class customer service is concpicious in every facet of the enterprise. Unless you're part of it, or at least have witnessed it, it's pretty hard to imagine. And yet it's quite true...
Excellent medical staff. They rarely keep you waiting.
Wait times are short... follow up on specialists are spotty at best... stopped by there this morning early to get a prescription refilled today and it is after lunch and the pharmacy does not have it yet... had to leave a message when I followed up as no real person was available to talk to... also the last two times I was there they said I did not owe anything although I knew I had a copay... just got an invoice for them now which I would have rather paid for at the time.
Wonderful medical care. However, the administrative office seems to be overloaded. Always an instruction to leave a message; never a live person, but no one returns calls. Frustrating, to say the least, in this era where insurance matters are so confusing.
We receive excellent care at every visit. Very professional, efficient, extremely friendly and nice. My dad who is 87 was sick and we did not call till late in the day and they said absolutely bring him over. The doctors, doctor assistants, nurse practitioners and office staff are great. I can not see how you could make our visits any better.
